Where is Tarraleah?

Built on an elevated Highland plateau, first scouted by pioneers at the turn of the 20th Century, The Lodge sits high on a ridge overlooking the Tasmanian wilderness.  At Tarraleah, the walls of wilderness part for views that encompass river, hills and heavily wooded valleys far below. Mount Wellington looms in the distance. The Aboriginal meaning of ‘Tarraleah’ is “Forestor Kangaroo” and the site is host to an enormous range of Tasmanian flora and fauna.
