Cooking Classes at Wildside Kitchen

Local and International Foods

Our classes will have you preparing a range of hands-on culinary delights from around the world. The classes focus on teaching you how to prepare and preserve Tasmanian seasonal produce and local game meats. We also offer classes in traditional cooking from regional areas across Europe.

Tasmanian salmon, trout and venison feature heavily in the gourmet game cooking classes, and we also have courses  to teach you how to make your own bread, cheese, canapes and chocolates.

The Wildside Kitchen

The Wildside Kitchen is a Tasmanian cooking school situated in the Heritage Village of Tarraleah just a two hour drive from Hobart and Launceston in the Central Highlands.  The Wildside Kitchen offers one and two day courses throughout the year teaching participants how to cook, prepare and preserve Tasmania’s wonderful fresh local produce.


These classes are run by the Tarraleah chefs, and require a minimum of 6 and maximum of 10 people to book.  To book - put together a group of people for your preferred date/s and give us a call to check availability. If your selected date is available, then take a look at our Wildside Kitchen website and select your preferred cuisine. Tailored options are also available.
